Glad empowers businesses to help fix climate change by using finance as a force for good. Our first product is a business payment card that directs 1% of spending to remove CO2 from the atmosphere, without it costing a penny.
Founded by Ben Wynn and James McQuarrie, who have collaborated for over 15 years, Glad has assembled a stellar team of expert advisors with combined experience in financial services, e-commerce, and marketing. Their focus is on leveraging this expertise to make climate action easy and affordable for businesses.

How do you hope to use the grant?
“As a climate impact business, we are laser focused on helping our customers to increase their planet positive impact. Leading by example is crucial to us. This grant will enable us to accurately measure and understand our own carbon footprint, as well as mitigate any unavoidable emissions, ensuring we operate as sustainably as possible. Additionally, as our team grows, we will use the grant to fund sustainability training, ensuring all our "Gladiators" are fully clued up on climate change, regardless of their role.”
Why does sustainability matter to you?
“We founded Glad with a clear mission: to do everything we can to help fix climate change. Our objective is to protect the planet by removing 1 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere by 2050. For us, therefore, sustainability is at the very heart of our business, guiding everything we do.”
